Today the institute had its 9th Graduation Ceremony where over 1300 students where conferred their certificates and diplomas in various fields. The chief guest in today’s event was HE Hon Dr William Samoei Ruto, EGH, EBS,  the Deputy President Republic of Kenya. Dr Ruto has been instrumental in transforming the TVET landscape in Kenya. The colourful event also attended by Dr Kevit Desai The PS State department Vocational and Technical Training, Hon Jackson Mandago, Governor Uasin Gishu County, Hon Eng  Alex Tolgos, Governor Elgeyo Marakwet County, Dr Kipkirui Langat, Director TVETA, Mr Daniel Chemno, Deputy Governor Uasin Gishu county, Senator Samson Cherargei, Nandi County among many other dignitaries and notable persons. During the 3 hour function, various awards were given including innovation awards, outstanding achievement award and long service award. The graduands were advised to be job creators, not seekers and were encouraged to do their bit in building the nation. the graduands were all rewarded with a handshake from the deputy president who also stated that he was impressed by their humility and discipline. During the function, the deputy president stated that Moiben Teachers Training College should be converted to be a campus of Kenya Technical Training Institute as there is need to improve the capacity of Technical Teacher training in Kenya.
