The deputy president of the Republic of Kenya, HE Hon Dr William Ruto yesterday launched a Competency-based education and training prior learning assessment centre for automotive engineering at RVTTI. The centre which was formerly the institute’s automotive engineering workshop will serve in assessing prior skills for applicants who may have experience in automotive mechanics but lack adequate papers to prove otherwise. This is in line with KNQF framework which acknowledges the existence of prior learning and makes effort to have it recognized.
