Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) emerged top in this year’s African tech challenge competition for technical colleges and universities. The delegation of four led by the team coach Mr Arusei clinched the highest award.
With the win, the institute was awarded  a Sh10 million worth of tender to supply spare parts to China. It is the Fourth time that the institution was participating in Africa Tech Challenge which is coincidentally in its fourth season.
The competition is a youth empowerment project which seeks to equip the youth with technical skills and it is in the form of a training program and competition whereby the most outstanding participants receive fully sponsored masters degree scholarship to prestigious universities in China and cash prizes are also given to the winners.
All ATC Participants receive certificates to show participation and outline the skills developed during the training which allows them to access internship/attachment and job opportunities more easily.
