The Health Sciences Department offers a variety of diploma and certificate programs designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in a rewarding healthcare career. Whether you’re interested in pharmaceuticals, medical laboratories, nutrition, or community health, we have a program to fit your goals.

Nutrition and Dietetics:

Diploma/Certificate in Nutrition & Dietetics

These programs teach you about food science, nutrition principles and dietetics. You’ll gain skills in assessing nutritional needs, developing dietary plans for various health conditions, and promoting healthy eating habits. Graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and public health departments.

Diploma in Pharmacy Technologist

This program equips you to assist pharmacists with dispensing medications, measuring doses, and maintaining medication records. You’ll learn about pharmacology, pharmacy law and ethics, and medication safety. Graduates can work in pharmacies, hospitals, or clinics under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Medical Laboratory Technology:

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

This program provides training in laboratory procedures like blood tests, tissue analysis, and microbiology. You’ll learn how to perform tests accurately, analyze results, and report findings to healthcare professionals. Graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, research labs, or public health facilities.

Diploma/Certificate in Community Health

These programs focus on promoting health and preventing disease at the community level. You’ll learn about public health principles, health education, and program development. Graduates can work in government agencies, non-profit organizations, or community health centers. They might conduct health screenings, provide health education workshops, or manage community health programs.
